Hey all,

I just finished up a working version of my first data analysis project which compares the performance of two Formula 1 drivers in a single season. Here is a link to the project and I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Hey Maxim, congrats on finishing up your first project! I haven't dug into the details of your github yet, but I was reading the background and got a little bit confused with the details on how drivers advance. I think this context is important. I'm wondering if a flow chart or diagram might help you explain this info to the reader?

Thank you for the feedback! I agree that some sort of visualization would help explain the progression of qualifying and will work on adding that.

I agree with Melanie. I think the analysis you've done is very thorough, but I'm wondering what your major takeaways are? Could you answer the following questions?
  1. What is the one sentence takeaway for all your research so far? Literally limit your response to 30 words and let us know. This would be the one thing you'd recommend we all look at or remember.
  2. What are the three pieces of analysis that back up #1 above? Again, limit each of the three pieces to one sentence.
I find "The Pyramid Principle" to be a very helpful book here... But let us know what you think and we'd be happy to iterate here.

Also, this is very tactical but since you have one section and you label it as "#1...", I'm assuming you'll be building other sections soon. Is that correct? If so, you might want to remove the number until you actually have more sections.
